Police seek man after robbery at Ham Road, Shoreham Co-op

Police have released a CCTV image in connection with a robbery involving a hammer. 

Officers were called to the Co-op store in Ham Road, Shoreham, where a man was reported to have threatened staff with a hammer and stole money yesterday, May 10, at around 7am. 

Sussex Police has linked this robbery to an incident at Shoreham News in Buckingham Road moments earlier, where a man is reported to have threatened staff and tried to steal cigarettes.

He is described as white, approximately 5ft 11in and of large, stocky build with copper-coloured hair.

He was wearing a black hoodie, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.

Police are now looking to identify the man pictured on CCTV footage. 

A spokesman for Sussex Police said: "Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police on 999 quoting serial 270 of 10/5."
