A driver is urging cyclists to take better care after a near miss with a woman and her two children on a bike.
On Friday morning, June 20, a man, who wishes to remain anonymous, was driving his son to school along Davigdor Road near Seven Dials, when a cyclist shot out at a junction.
Riding the bike was a woman, who was carrying two children on the back. The man, aged 52, slammed on his bikes to avoid crashing into them.
The company director from Brighton has shared footage of the incident to urge others to take more care when cycling.
“That lady didn’t look left at all. I was doing about 25/30 miles per hour.
“It’s a junction so I always slow down there. She flew out and I slammed on my breaks.”
The footage appears to show the woman cycling straight out from the junction, which has a give way line, in front of the man's car.

“Whoever this lady is, she needs to have a think about what’s happening there,” the man continued.
“I think she should understand the road. She’s got a helmet for the kids so I’m glad she thought about that.
“That is just basic road safety when you’re taking your kids to school.
“You shouldn’t be cycling if you don’t know the rules of the road.
“Anything could have come up the road, buses come up that way.
“I cycle myself a lot, I have done for 20 years.
“In 20 years of cycling, I’ve never seen something that dangerous.”
The man considered sending the footage to the police but is instead hoping exposure will encourage people to think twice on the roads.
