Brighton and Hove City Council has confirmed a series of suspensions and closures as part of the Valley Gardens Phase 3 works.
The traffic order is due to start on Monday, December 15, with the order running until June 15, 2026. The end date may be sooner.
Works will see parts of Madeira Drive, Grand Junction Road and Pool Valley coach station affected.

On Madeira Drive Disabled badge holders parking bays will be temporarily suspended.
The cycle lane will be temporarily suspended and/or diverted from opposite Pool Valley coach station on Grand Junction Road to Dalton’s Bastion on Madeira Drive.
Bus stop N on Grand Junction Road, the motorcycle parking bay, and several loading bays will also be suspended.

Bus stops and loading bays at Pool Valley coach station will also be unavailable.
The existing no-entry restriction into Pool Valley from its junction with the A259 will be lifted to allow access.
Three city centre roads, Charles Street, Manchester Street and Broad Street, will also be temporarily closed at their junctions with Marine Parade.
The one-way traffic order on each street will be suspended to allow for two-way access.
Further temporary closures include Castle Square, Old Steine, Marine Parade, Madeira Drive and Grand Junction Road.
The council says the closures are necessary to allow contractors to carry out the works.
Pedestrian and cyclist access will be maintained, with signed diversion routes in place for vehicles.
