A person has claimed their £1,000,000 lottery prize after an appeal calling on players to check their tickets.
The hunt for The National Lottery’s latest EuroMillions millionaire in Mid Sussex is over as the £1,000,000 prize has now been claimed following last week’s appeal.
Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, can reveal it has received a claim with the winning code for a UK Millionaire Maker prize of £1,000,000.
For every EuroMillions line played, UK players automatically receive a EuroMillions Millionaire Maker code printed on their ticket, scooping the lucky winner a life-changing £1,000,000.
The ticket holder is one of ten millionaires made on the January 2 EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker draw - all of which have now also been claimed.
Andy Carter, Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, operator of The National Lottery, said: “We are delighted to have found our winner after our public appeal last week and look forward to giving our lucky winner the very best start to 2026.”
As with all major prizes, this EuroMillions claim will now go through the process of validation, which includes checks to ensure the Games Rules Terms and Conditions are adhered to and the integrity of The National Lottery is protected. Subject to validation the prize will then be paid at an appointment with one of The National Lottery’s Winners’ Advisers.
Once the ticket has been validated and paid, the ticket-holder will then decide whether or not to go public and share their news. There will be no information on whether they are an individual or syndicate winner, or where the ticket was purchased, unless the ticket-holder decides to go public.
