A popular airline will be launching two new European routes from Gatwick Airport in the coming months.
The Sussex airport will be boosting German connectivity as Eurowings launches new routes to Cologne and Stuttgart.
It is not the only new German route coming in the months ahead, with airline Condor also securing slots to operate three daily flights to Frankfurt from April.
Eurowings launching 2 new routes to Germany from Gatwick
Eurowings is the latest airline to launch flights from London Gatwick, with multiple weekly services to Cologne and Stuttgart.
The German airline will begin flying to Cologne in March and Stuttgart in April.
From March 29, the value airline of the Lufthansa Group will operate 13 flights per week to Cologne.
Six weekly services to Stuttgart will then start from April 13, with tickets now on sale.
London Gatwick passengers will now have the choice of more than 230 routes this summer.

New routes at Gatwick Airport in 2026
Cologne and Stuttgart join other new routes coming to Gatwick in 2026.
German airline Condor is expanding its route network and will fly from Gatwick to Frankfurt three times a day from April.
It will be the first time that the British capital becomes part of Condor’s network.
Also in March, Gatwick Airport will launch new twice-daily flights to Sharjah in the UAE.
Operated by Air Arabia, it will be the only direct service between this United Arab Emirates destination and the UK.
A new direct service to Paris with Air France is also launching in March.
Air France, named Best Airline in Western Europe at the 2025 Skytrax Awards, will operate two flights per day with the Airbus A220 between London Gatwick and Charles de Gaulle.
It will offer passengers greater access to the French capital, as well as its global network of nearly 170 destinations across 73 countries, via its Paris hub.
The most notable addition to Gatwick in 2026, however, is Jet2 arriving at the airport.
The UK’s third-largest airline will fly to 29 sunshine destinations from Gatwick from March.

It will mark the largest new-based airline at Gatwick this century and will create more than 300 direct jobs across flight deck, cabin crew, engineering and ground operations, plus hundreds more through the wider supply chain.

Jet2 has already put a significant programme on sale for its first summer of operations.
The first flight from London Gatwick will take off for Tenerife on March 26.
A fleet of six aircraft will fly passengers to a wide choice of destinations across mainland Spain, the Canary Islands, the Balearic Islands, Greece, Turkey, Portugal, Malta, Italy, Croatia, Bulgaria and Cyprus.
