A new budget route from Gatwick to one of Europe's most popular islands has been announced for the summer.
Wizz Air will launch its brand new route from London Gatwick to Santorini in July.
It comes as Wizz Air continues to expand its routes from the UK to Greece and builds on recently announced connections to Chania, Corfu, Mykonos, Rhodes and Zakynthos, launching this summer.

The new route will take off on July 1, operating twice weekly on Wednesdays and Sundays, from Gatwick Airport.
Wizz Air already offers more than 110 routes from the UK to nearly 80 destinations, allowing UK travellers to discover a range of destinations across Europe and beyond.
Santorini is one of Greece’s most iconic islands, known for its whitewashed villages, dramatic caldera views and unforgettable sunsets.
The Visit Greece website describes Santorini as "one of the most famous islands in the world".
It adds: "Santorini’s volcano is one of the few active volcanoes on Greek and European land.
"The islands that form Santorini came into existence as a result of intensive volcanic activity; twelve huge eruptions occurred, one every 20,000 years approximately, and each violent eruption caused the collapse of the volcano’s central part, creating a large crater (caldera).
"The volcano, however, managed to recreate itself over and over again."
There are many villages on the island to explore, and it is also home to stunning beaches and historical sites.

Tickets for the new London Gatwick to Santorini route will be available soon on the Wizz Air website and via the Wizz Air mobile app.
