Brighton Festival is set to host a packed day of literary events.
On Saturday, May 16, from 7.30am, the festival will offer a range of talks and workshops.
The day kicks off with an early morning Write and Shine workshop by award-winning author Gemma Seltzer in the Brighton Dome Founders Room.
This session encourages participants to engage in creative ritual, ceremony and reflection, exploring poetry and stories of shorelines.
The focus is on developing closely observed detail and writing at the meeting of land and water.
In the evening, at 8.15pm in the Brighton Dome Studio Theatre, former Young People's Laureate for London, Selina Nwulu, will present her new book Black Climates: Notes on Race, Our Environment and Visions for Equitable Futures.
She will be in conversation with writer, stylist and consultant Aja Barber.
They will discuss the intersection between race, the environment and equitable futures, proposing radical solutions to reshape public conversation.

At 6pm, also in the Brighton Dome Studio Theatre, award-winning poet Raymond Antrobus will present his memoir The Quiet Ear.
This memoir intertwines his story with those of d/Deaf cultural figures, artists and performers, providing inspiring models of creativity, resilience and voice for those previously unheard.
At 1pm, debut novelists Rebecca Perry, Manish Chauhan and Jon Doyle will present their new books with readings and discussions.
Rebecca Perry will launch May We Feed the King, Manish Chauhan will present Belgrave Road, and Jon Doyle will release Communion.
Later in the month, on May 18, the celebrated poetry event STATUS FLO will return to Brighton Festival for a night of spoken word at the Brighton Dome Corn Exchange.
Curated and hosted by Brighton-based AFLO. the poet, this edition will be headlined by T. S. Eliot Prize winner Joelle Taylor and award-winning writer Yomi Ṣode, alongside exciting local talent to be announced.
On May 21, in the Brighton Dome Studio Theatre, authors Natasha Walter, Shahed Ezaydi and N.S. Nuseibeh will come together for Feminism for a World on Fire.
The three authors will discuss intersectional feminism in the current social and global climate, offering visions for the future.
