A multi-million pound business acquisition is set to create new jobs and drive growth on the south coast.
Logistics and fulfilment specialist 4PL has acquired Ford-based haulage provider R.T. Page & Sons, backed by £4.5 million in funding from Allica Bank.
The acquisition expands 4PL’s reach in West Sussex by integrating R.T. Page’s long-standing operations into its broader transport, warehousing and distribution network.

The Ford site, long operated by R.T. Page, will become part of 4PL’s wider logistics hub.
The deal has already boosted employment, with the combined workforce now numbering around 100.
A further 25 roles are expected to be created as the business grows and new services are introduced.
Mr Burton said the acquisition would help accelerate 4PL’s expansion.

He said: "We now have transport, warehousing and fulfilment operating as one integrated system, which means we can scale faster and offer far more to customers.
"The funding from Allica has completely changed our capabilities and long-term vision."
The £4.5 million from Allica Bank has also allowed 4PL to refinance more expensive debt, cutting monthly repayments by around £23,000 and improving cash flow.
This financial flexibility is enabling the business to invest in growth initiatives.
Plans include the launch of a domestic parcel delivery service targeting smaller businesses, expansion into international logistics, air and sea freight and same-day delivery options.
