Appeal to identify man after reported assault in Horsham pub

Police have launched an appeal to identify a man they wish to speak to in connection with a reported assault in a pub.

Officers were called after the victim, a man aged 24, sustained injuries in an unprovoked assault inside The Anchor Hotel, in Horsham, at about 10.50pm on April 24.

The victim attended hospital with injuries and was later discharged.

Officers are investigating and pursuing a number of lines of enquiry, and have released CCTV images of a man in connection with the incident.

The man is described as black, in his 20s or 30s, with a bald or shaven head and a beard.

He had a distinctive tattoo on his neck and also an earring.

He was wearing a dark jacket and a white T-shirt underneath, dark trousers, and trainers.

Witnesses or anyone who recognises the man is asked to come forward, and witnesses or anyone with relevant information who has not already come forward is asked to do so.
