A new musical, charting the relationship of country stars Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash, is coming to the stage.
The Ballad of Johnny and June: an all-new musical exploring the iconic romance of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash - directed by Tony Award-winner Des McAnuff - is coming to Eastbourne.
The production will run from August 25 to 29, 2026, at the Congress Theatre.

Tony Award-winning director Des McAnuff will use the show to present an intimate look at the couple's life as witnessed by their only son, John Carter Cash.
The cast includes Christopher Ryan Grant and Christina Bianco as Johnny and June.
Featuring hits like I Walk the Line, Ring of Fire and Jackson, it promises to be an exhilarating evening.
The show will have performances at 7.30pm each evening, with additional matinees on Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday at 2.30pm.
