Nick Cave's concert at Preston Park will conclude earlier than originally planned to give people "more options" to get home.
The full set times have now been released for the rock icon's highly anticipated performance on 31 July.
Nick Cave and his band The Bad Seeds will take to the stage at 7.30pm and play until 10pm.
Organisers had originally said that the event would finish at 10.30pm, although they also said that "performance times won't be confirmed until much closer to the event", and that times are "subject to change at any time".
The earlier finish follows concerns that concert-goers travelling by rail may have struggled to get home, with London Road and Preston Park stations both closed from 5 pm on the day of the concert.
Those travelling back to Portsmouth by rail would need to get a train at 10.40pm from Brighton station, which would have been difficult with a 10.30pm finish.
It is around a 25-minute walk from the event arena in Preston Park to Brighton station.
A spokesperson for Govia Thameslink Railway said: "The concert finishes at 10pm giving people more options and time to make it to the station.
"As with Pride and other events like the Marathon, we must close Preston Park and London Road stations as it would simply not be safe to deal with the greater passenger numbers generated by these events, unlike Brighton station which is a short, well-signposted walk away."
The railway operator warned that this weekend is one of the busiest in its calendar, with Brighton Pride taking place on the days immediately following the Nick Cave concert.
GTR said it is running its regular timetable on the Friday, with extra carriages on some services to and from Brighton, along with an enhanced weekend timetable to cater for Pride.
A queuing system will be in place at Brighton station over the weekend, and passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journeys.
Organisers have today released the full set times for the event.
Gates open at 1 pm, with Warmduscher kicking off proceedings at 1.30pm.
They are followed by Cate Le Bon (2.45pm), English Teacher (4pm), and The Flaming Lips (5.30pm), before Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds close the show from 7.30pm until 10pm.
Fans heading to the all-day event are being advised to arrive early, with organisers warning that gates will be "very busy with longer queue times" between 5pm and 7pm.
In addition to the music, organisers say there will be more than 15 bars, 50 food and drink stalls, DJs throughout the day, an Arcade Treasure Hunt, and a Bad Seeds Fish & Chips van on site.

Coach services to London Victoria are available through National Express and FlixBus, and a dedicated taxi pick-up and drop-off zone will operate on Preston Drove.
The council's Park & Ride service is also available.
Fans travelling directly to the site are reminded that bags larger than A4 size will not be permitted, though pre-bookable luggage lockers are available via prestonparkbrighton.elocke.rs.
