A programme of community performances will take centre stage at a popular seafront venue this summer.
Eastbourne Bandstand will host 12 special events as part of a new scheme by Eastbourne Borough Council, aimed at celebrating grassroots talent and cultural groups alongside its existing line-up of live shows and tribute acts.
One of the first community events will feature a dynamic recreation of the iconic Riverdance by Rinceoirí Ratton, an acclaimed Irish dance group from Ratton School, on July 20.
Councillor Jenny Williams, Cabinet Member for Tourism and Place, said: "Eastbourne Bandstand is a much-loved landmark, and this new community programme gives residents and visitors the chance to experience it in a completely different way.
"From dance and theatre to grassroots music and cultural celebrations, these events showcase the creativity and spirit of our town.

"I was delighted to join Rinceoirí Ratton for their rehearsal and see for myself the energy, talent and local pride they bring to their performance."
The council has curated a broad line-up that includes reggae gospel, opera, theatre and original works created by local writers and actors.
Other highlights include Rock Choir, Dance Through the Decades, Opera at Sunset - an acoustic performance set against the evening skyline, and Chubstock, part of the Eastbourne Music Collective.
Each group has had the opportunity to apply for funding to help cover production costs.
The council is also offering free use of the bandstand, along with on-site support and promotion, to help bring each event to life.
