Dinosaurs, Paddington Bear and family-friendly fun are coming to Eastbourne this summer.

The Beacon shopping centre has launched a programme of weatherproof activities during the school holidays, including live dinosaur encounters, hands-on workshops and storytelling sessions.

Children will have the chance to meet a Pterosaur outside Primark, a Brontosaurus outside Boots, and a T. Rex as part of the centre’s prehistoric adventure.

Hend Mousa, community manager for The Beacon, said: "Summer is all about spending quality time together, and we know families are looking for days out that offer great value, plenty to do and somewhere they can rely on whatever the weather.

"We can’t wait to welcome families through our doors and help them make some fantastic holiday memories."

Other events include creative workshops such as bath bomb making and craft sessions, along with storytelling hosted by Eastbourne LitFest.

The Beacon is also offering dining deals to help families save during the holidays.

The Noodle Bar will offer 50 per cent off children’s meals for under-12s throughout July and August.
