A fresh team of community champions has joined the board steering a major long-term investment plan.
Hastings Pride in Place Board, formerly the Hastings Neighbourhood Board, has appointed eight new members following a recruitment process that drew more than 120 applications.
The board oversees the delivery of the Pride in Place programme, which will invest £20 million into the town over the next 10 years.
Kevin Boorman, independent chair of the board, said: "We are delighted to welcome our brilliant new community board members.
"Throughout this programme, we have been committed to ensuring that local people are at the heart of decision-making.
"These appointments represent an important step in that journey and will help ensure that the voices of Hastings residents continue to shape how this investment is delivered in our town."
The programme is now moving from planning into delivery, with decisions increasingly led by the community.
Helena Dollimore, MP for Hastings, said: "With this £21.5 million Pride in Place funding that I have secured for Hastings, we have the chance to improve our town by making the big decisions for ourselves, not letting other people make decisions for us."
A new board website and social media channels will launch soon.
