A hospital has been rated among the best in the country for its cancer care.
Queen Victoria Hospital earned top marks in the latest National Cancer Patient Experience Survey, with 98 per cent of patients saying they were always treated with respect and dignity.
Liz Blackburn, acting chief nursing officer at Queen Victoria Hospital (QVH), said: 'To receive this level of positive feedback from our patients is something we are extremely proud of.
'These results reflect the compassion, commitment and teamwork shown by colleagues across QVH every day.

'We know that a cancer diagnosis can be life-changing, so it's particularly encouraging to hear that patients felt supported and valued throughout their care.
'I would like to thank both our patients for sharing their experiences and our staff for the exceptional care they provide.'
The hospital also scored highly for ease of contacting care teams, support for relatives and involvement in decision-making.
The survey, conducted by Picker on behalf of NHS England, invited feedback from more than 130,000 patients across 130 NHS trusts.
QVH’s strong performance follows similar results in previous years and highlights its ongoing commitment to personalised, compassionate cancer care.
