A unique event is helping mothers return to work confidently in an AI-driven world.
AI on Maternity Leave, taking place in Brighton on August 11, is designed for women re-entering the workforce after maternity leave and aims to address the evolving workplace and the growing influence of artificial intelligence.
The event offers hands-on learning, honest discussions about AI's limitations and peer support in a welcoming environment where babies are always welcome.
Katie Rose, founder of AI on Maternity Leave and a Brighton-based brand and marketing leader with 15 years of experience, said: "I’ve often wondered whether the pace of AI in 2026 makes this the worst possible time to be on maternity leave.
"I understand the fear underneath that question: that you come back to a job that has been rewritten, and that being behind makes you easy pickings for redundancy.
"Plenty of employers still aren’t running AI training in work hours as it is — never mind the catching up you need after up to a year out.
"So this is ninety minutes to close some of that gap before going back into the workplace.
"I want to make sure that when she walks back into her role, the AI conversation doesn’t have her on the back foot. It can be one she’s leading, rather than catching up on."

Claudia Gasson MSc, organisational psychologist and founder of the psychology-led career platform Waddyado, will cover the mental and emotional challenges of returning to a fast-changing workplace.
Deborah Gray, a solutions consultant at Scope3 and founder of Globelle Travels, will share her experience of quickly getting up to speed with AI after her own return to paid work.
The event follows a sold-out pilot in July, which received overwhelmingly positive feedback.
Of the 15 attendees, 11 completed a post-event survey, with 10 reporting higher confidence in using AI at work.
The average confidence score rose from 1.9 to 3.5 out of five.
The event also received a Net Promoter Score of +82, with no detractors.
AI on Maternity Leave will take place from 11am to 12.45pm at Plus X Innovation on Lewes Road, Brighton.
Mum-and-baby tickets are priced at £12.
