Arun District Council (ADC) has commissioned a £13,950 feasibility study into the future of the Windmill Entertainment Centre, Littlehampton, as it looks to explore the possibility of upgrading the facilities at the venue.
In the 2026-27 annual budget report, Arun District Council agreed to set aside £25,000 to commission a study into improving customer experience at the venue. The consultancy contract was given to Sloane & Brown Ltd and is worth £13,950 plus VAT.
A spokesperson from the council said: “The report will help the council decide what improvements may be needed and plan them over the medium to longer term.”
The report will consider upgrades such as ‘Toilet facilities, redecoration, lighting, and refreshments’.
The venue reopened in April 2024 after repairs, following a fire at the nearby Harvester restaurant. Works included restorations to the roof and boiler room, asbestos removal, a new studio floor, replacement auditorium carpet and a new skylight.
The historic entertainment venue is an important part of the community, providing a 192 seat theatre space, independent cinema and venue hire.
A report on any potential new improvements will be presented to the Economy Committee on September 10, 2026.
