A book festival is marking its 10th anniversary with a packed programme of events spanning fiction, history, politics and crime.
Cuckfield Bookfest will take place in the West Sussex village from October 2 to 4, with a special evening event featuring actress and Celebrity Traitors star Celia Imrie on October 14.

Sir Jeremy Hunt will open the festival on Friday, October 2, at Ockenden Manor, discussing his recent book Can We Be Rich Again?
The political and historical line-up includes Alwyn Turner, who will explore Britain between the wars in A Shellshocked Nation, while Paul O’Keeffe will offer a front-row perspective on the Battle of Trafalgar.
Investigative journalist Oliver Bullough will present his work on global money laundering in Everybody Loves Our Dollars.

Catherine Mayer will examine the lives of royal women in Divide & Rule.
Tim Spector, co-founder of ZOE, will take the stage on Saturday, October 3, to discuss Ferment and the science of gut health, while Prue Leith will close the day with reflections on the challenges and taboos of ageing.
Sunday will begin with palaeontologist Steve Brusatte, author of The Story of Birds.
The festival also features a full programme for children, including appearances by Anne Brusatte, Matt Newnham, Eilish Fisher and Jessie Burton.
Crime fiction will be in the spotlight with Abir Mukherjee, Andrew Hunter Murray, Louisa Treger and Lottie Moggach.
Non-fiction highlights include Juliet Nicolson’s The Book of Revelations, Stephen McGinty’s One Morning in March, and nature writing from Harriet Rix and Richard Negus.
Other appearances include Patrick Gale, Alexander Larman, Damian Barr, Kate Mosse and father-and-son authors Greg and Felix Mosse.
Cuckfield Bookfest is run almost entirely by volunteers and supported by local sponsors, individual benefactors and festival friends.
