Festival-goers have been told to leave amid a "serious incident".

Emergency services have flocked to the Big Church Festival, which is being held on the Wiston Estate near Steyning, after reports of a sign having fallen and injured multiple people.

A spokesperson for South East Coast Ambulance Service (Secamb) confirmed at least six people have been injured.

It said: “Ambulance crews, critical care paramedics and specialist response teams are currently on scene with six patients confirmed so far.

“We have no further information to share at this time but will provide updates as soon as possible.”

Sussex Police said it was called to the scene just after 3.30pm and are assisting other emergency services.
