Fabian Hurzeler says he has not ruled Malick Yalcouye out of his Conference League plans.
The midfielder did not make the squad declared to UEFA for the league phase.
Yalcouye started the away leg against Tromso in the play-off round and went on as substitute in the 4-0 win at the Amex.
But competition for places among players who were not developed by Albion themselves or in this country has increased.
Since the play-off round, Albion have signed Promise David, Jaouen Hadjam, Chema Andres and Femi Azeez.
Yalcouye has Champions League experience with Sturm Graz and impressed at Chelsea on Sunday.
Hurzeler did not mention any injury for Yalcouye at his press conference ahead of the home game with Leeds
The midfielder was replaced after 74 minutes at Chelsea although that looked tactical as winger Ibrahim Osman was introduced.
Hurzeler said: “We have to see how we manage this.
“With UEFA, you have to announce the team by a certain point, and now I think there are different scenarios which can change these scenarios
“So, overall it’s quite complicated. It’s not that easy
“There’s still a chance that he (Yalcouye) might be involved in games but UEFA demands that we announce the squad at this point of the season and that’s what we have to do.”

Kaoru Mitoma, Yankuba Minteh, Mats Wieffer and Stefanos Tzimas have also been left out, which might lead to some concerns as to how much longer they are expected to be out of action.
Conference League games do not start until mid-October.
Three players can be added for the knockout stages.
Although they are currently injured, Jack Hinshelwood and Evan Ferguson count as club-trained players, of whom four must be on the list.
They have been included along with skipper Lewis Dunk and Tom McGill, the goalkeeper who looks highly unlikely to get on the pitch in any of the six games.
