An outdoor clothing brand is backing a running event and raising funds for a volunteer search dog charity.

Wadhurst-based Páramo is sponsoring the 2026 Bewl Water Run Series, organised by Hermes Running, with races taking place at Bewl Water on September 12.

The clothing brand is also supporting Search Dogs Sussex, a volunteer charity that provides specialist dog teams to Sussex Police to help find vulnerable and missing people.

Christine Levick, store manager at Páramo Wadhurst, said: "We’re delighted to support an event that brings runners and visitors into the area while encouraging people to get outside and enjoy the beautiful countryside on our doorstep.

"As a business rooted in the local community, we’re particularly pleased to be fundriasing for Search Dogs Sussex."

Runners in this year’s series will compete in 10K, half marathon, marathon and 50km ultramarathon events.

Páramo is offering registered runners a 20 per cent discount at its Wadhurst store from September 12 to October 12, 2026, when they show proof of race entry.

David Ross, race director at Hermes Running, said: "We’re very pleased to be partnering with Páramo.

"It’s fantastic to have the support of a well-established local business, and we’re looking forward to working together to make this year’s Bewl Water Run Series a great event."
