A community event designed to support residents during the colder months has returned to Crawley.

The annual Winter Warm Up, held at K2 Crawley and organised by Crawley Borough Council in partnership with local organisations, was officially opened by Mayor of Crawley, councillor Marion Ayling.

Cllr Ayling said: "Winter Warm Up is a fantastic opportunity for residents to discover the support, advice and activities available across our town.

"It's also a chance to meet local organisations face-to-face and find out what help is available when it is needed most.

"I was delighted to open this year's event and see so many people coming together."

The event connected residents with charities, support services, and community groups offering advice on health and wellbeing, the cost of living, and volunteering opportunities.

Taster sessions in Tai Chi and seated ballet were also on offer, highlighting ways for residents to stay active.

Councillor Michael Jones, leader of Crawley Borough Council, said: "Events such as Winter Warm Up demonstrate the strength of our local community.

"By bringing so many services and residents together in one place, we can help people access support, make new connections with organisations and find opportunities to improve their wellbeing."
