Regular physiotherapy sessions are helping care home residents stay active and improve their wellbeing.

Norden House, a care home in Littlehampton, offers fortnightly sessions on-site led by physiotherapist Ben.

The sessions focus on gentle, wheelchair-friendly hand and foot exercises, followed by breathing exercises.

Adriana, activities co-ordinator at Norden House, said: "Physiotherapy for our residents has had such a positive impact on their wellbeing and introduced a very enjoyable morning activity.

"It improves their mobility, in both hands and feet, as well as helping them with their balance."

The sessions are designed to boost mobility, strength and balance, while also promoting relaxation and a sense of wellbeing.

Residents have spoken positively about the impact of the sessions, describing them as both beneficial and enjoyable.

The care home’s MAGIC care model prioritises activities that support both physical and mental health to improve quality of life.

This continued commitment will see the physiotherapy sessions, alongside new workshops, deliver these physical benefits to all the residents.
