Well, it's all over...thankfully. Another loss to Kent ends a miserable mid-season passage for Sussex.
Personally, I'm not sure that they should cram the Twenty20 competition in so tightly.
Assuming that Pro-40 is phased out could it be spread out more evenly over the season, with a few more Friday nights put-by? This might secure bigger crowds, allow the the club to plan their approach more carefully, develop a specialist team, and have more of a varied season.
This year we've seen a really poor performance from the team and now face the farcical situation regarding Yorkshire and Durham. Take a look at Kevin Howell's blog for some interesting thoughts on this matter.
Also, we've got a rather strange situation in terms of the fixtures where there's no first-class cricket at Hove for nearly two months! What's going on there?
