I feel I must share this with any person in the Brighton area who is feeling “down”. I had been having a few bad days but was then asked by a friend to accompany her to an afternoon of entertainment known as “Teamakers” at All Saint’s Church Hall in Eaton Road, Hove.
Talk about being cheered up. Not only were there a mix of good singers, accompanied by a grand piano with three different pianists but the afternoon was compèred by a superb comedian called Bob Eaton who had the whole audience rocking with laughter.
This man could hold his own against any of today’s comics. He also proved that “stand ups” do not need bad language to be funny.
If you need cheering up, get to this event on the last Wednesday of any month at 2.30pm. Don’t take my word for it.
