I attended a concert at the Brighton Centre on Friday night and was dismayed to find that there seems to be a hardcore group of people who still think they have the right to smoke wherever they please i.e. in the middle of a large crowd of people.
Smoky concerts used to be the norm that we had to suffer but now the law has changed.
These few smokers really did spoil the enjoyment for many people and it was all the more noticeable among the hundreds of people not smoking.
I know it’s difficult to police such behaviour but, in light of the recent announcement that tobacco products are not to be on display in shops, I feel it’s time that people still insistent on smoking finally respected the rights of others rather than acting like naughty schoolchildren.
