A 53-year-old Lithuanian man was killed when he was hit by a bus as he crossed the road.
The man, who was on holiday visiting his daughter, was hit on the A259 in Southbourne, near Chichester, on Wednesday, at about 3pm.
He was taken to St Richard's Hospital in Chichester with serious head injuries, where he later died.
Sussex Police are appealing for any witnesses to call Chichester Road Policing Unit on 0845 6070999, quoting Operation Outwell.
