The Kiev Classical Ballet makes its Brighton debut with a revival of two children’s classics.
When Peter’s grandfather warns him of the dangers of straying too far from home, he pays little heed. And when the big bad wolf comes calling, he just hatches a plan to outwit his canine foe.
Written for children, Prokofiev’s fable Peter and the Wolf sees each character brought to life with its own instrumental theme.
Saint Saens’ Carnival of the Animals is an exotic birthday parade of colourful creatures, from lumbering elephants, to extrovert goldfish.
As each animal joins the cavalcade, the 38-piece orchestra announces its arrival with characteristic fanfare.
