On Saturday someone stole my eldest son’s silver/grey Carrera mountain bike from a supposedly secure communal shed, to which only residents are supposed to have access. This took place at Waverley Court in Stanley Road, Littlehampton.
This bike is the only means of transport he has. He cannot afford to run a car, let alone own one. He uses this bike to ride to and from his work in Broadwater daily in all weathers. He can’t afford to use the train every day.
He works hard to provide for his young family, doesn’t drink, smoke or spend weekends in the pub.
He cannot afford to replace this bike, especially at this time of year. He can’t even claim on any insurance for it and the police said they could not do anything because it was in a communal shed but they have filed details of it.
