AN elderly woman was killed after she was hit by a car. The woman, who was in her 70s, was struck in Worth Road, Pound Hill, Crawley, at 11.24am today.
Sussex Police closed the road while they investigated the scene.
The pensioner was taken to East Surrey Hospital in Redhill with serious head injuries but died a short while later.
