The final touches are being made to an eye-catching Christmas lights display.

The annual Winter Wonderland in Peacehaven has its grand switching on ceremony next Friday at 5pm.

The event in Malines Avenue is organised each year by Michael Burnage and his family, friends and neighbours.

About 20 houses in the street will display spectacular lights and models and are expected to draw more than 1,0000 visitors.

The lights will be on show each evening between 5pm and 8pm from next Friday to Boxing Day and will feature regular visits from Father Christmas.

Proceeds go to the Rockinghorse appeal which supports the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital in Brighton and other children’s hospital services in Sussex.

This year will also feature a sale of new and second-hand toys.

We want readers to email and text your Christmas lights pictures to appear on our website at theargus.co.uk or in The Argus. Michael Farnes sent us this picture, right, of his display in Amberley Drive, Hove.

Email your photos to picture.desk@theargus.co.uk or send them by text to 80360.
