In reply to the cabbie who defended picking people up at the front of Marks & Spencer in Western Road, Brighton, and the front of Brighton Station (Letters, December 12).
Would it be so difficult for the person taking the booking to politely inform the caller it’s illegal to stop outside M&S and they should walk a few yards to Dyke Road? Likewise, anyone calling from the station could be advised to walk out of the rear exit.
