Brighton 1-2 Colchester

Bad luck and a weak midfield meant Albion suffered another home defeat – this time to Colchester.

Around quiet 300 Colchester fans turned up for this cold Boxing Day clash and to see their team nick a win at the death and send Brighton into more relegation misery.

We started off well with a great cross from Cox headed in by Forster to give us the lead.

But just before half-time when Hinshelwood passed back to Sullivan, he was too far over and the ball just rolled into the back of the net When your luck is down these things happen but it was very amateur.

In the second half the crowd and the players became increasingly frustrated.

Cox and Murray were subjected to the usual barrage of insults, Cox for losing possession and Murray for appearing to be lazy.

If the people in C block actually judge a player by every game you would have seen that Johnson gave the ball away on many occasions and Cox actually played well, but they do not like him and he always gets stick.

I will stick up for him because he gets a lot of unnecessary negative comments.

As for Murray, he is a lazy-looking player like Zamora was, but just because he doesn't score every game he gets abused.

It’s getting ridiculous in C block. The older generation didn't get the Christmas presents they asked for and wanted to take it out on Brighton players.

It is getting so annoying that we are moving next season after six years in the same seat. It is no fun attending games surrounded by idiots.

Colchester made a double sub and scored at the death.

It now means Brighton are deep in relegation trouble and a result is needed away at Swindon.
