You might have noticed the increasing gaps between each blog, well that’s because right now there is very little going on!

We went to Oxford, did well and lost. We went to Worthing to play Horsham, played poorly and lost. Wrexham came to us, we played okay and lost.

That’s pretty much all there is for new news recently! It’s unbelievable for us right now, there’s barely been a week where something new hasn’t caused an overdrive of conversations but right now, nothing new! I suppose you could say that Wrexham visiting us is a big thing, you’d be right, but it just doesn’t have the same feel about it right now.

Their fans travelled well, especially as the game was in doubt until quite late due to the snow on the pitch only a few days before. It was pretty much the same old story, for 60 minutes we did well, then we faded and allowed Wrexham on top, although the first goal was a push on Danny and the second was a shot that the bloke wouldn't be able to re-create if he had 50 more goes - a rocket across Banks.

Prior to that we weren’t bad at Oxford either, Joe Keehan scored our first league goal for ages but we missed a penalty and came home with nothing when perhaps we could have got at least the point most felt we deserved.

On to the Sussex Senior Cup.

The Horsham game midweek. The less said about that, the better. We were poor, slow, lacking desire, unorganised and embarrassing, oh and we lost 3-1 and missed another penalty.

We've got a pretty hard run of games coming up starting at manager-less Rushden on Saturday and we really need to start hitting the net if we are going to keep Northwich below us.

On the bright side though, David Wheeler and Ryan Storrie go on trial at Championship side Southampton this week so good luck to both of them, and Matt Whitehead has joined Dave in making the England schools team, so well done there too.

While the first team have struggled this season, the youngsters have done really well. Dave has stepped up no problems and has been joined by Tim Rivers, Grant Hall and Fred Foreman who have all been involved with the first team in recent weeks. Credit needs to go to the coaches. With a bit of luck we'll be able to keep them for next season - get the experience now which will stand them in good stead for more regular appearances in whatever league we may be in.

Anyway, thanks for reading this slightly jumbled blog! It’s nearly midnight as I write this and I have to be up early. Oh well...
