IN THESE days of watching our carbon footprint and saving the environment, surely the idea of illuminating the London Road viaduct (The Argus, March 14) is unnecessary expense?
It has never been lit up since it was built and I am sure visitors to Brighton are not going to see it and say “Wow – look at that lovely brickwork”.
They will be more intent on keeping their eyes on the road at this busy area.
