Alan Chatfield writes: “We are holding a reunion for the Royal Sussex Regiment Louisberg intake of April 2, 1959.

“The photograph above was taken at Roussillon Barracks in Chichester and shows all the lads of 1 Platoon, who came from all over Sussex.

I am top left, back row, with the clock tower on my head.

“Fifty years on, anyone who fancies meeting up can come along to the Black Lion in Patcham on Thursday, April 2, at 7pm. No boots and brasses this time. Just a pint and a packet of crisps.”
