Portslade Cricket Club has been operating since 1876 formerly at Portslade Recreation Ground and now at Hangleton Valley.

There new ground is just below Sainsbury's Petrol Station on the link road.

The club has a fixture list of some 61 matches for the coming year excluding cup and festival games.

This year they will have their highest number of colts matches ever.

Colts signing on night is on the 27th March at 18:30 hours at the Portslade Cricket Club Clubhouse.

Fees are fairly reasonable with membership at £20 for the first child and £10 each for subsequent children.

Training sessions are £2 as are match fees except senior fixtures which are at £3.

Most home games for the colts are played either at Wish Park or Braypool neither of which is too far away.

So if your child is an aspiring test player or wants to play for the fun then this club is the one for them, both boys and girls.

The club also runs a number of social events throughout the season as well as providing one of the best match teas around.

On veiw this season will be their new mobile Scoreboard won in a competition as part of Natwest Cricketforce.

With the football season left behind why not enjoy a quiet pint and a pleasant afternoons cricket while the wife or partener shops in Sainsbury's or Boundary Road.
