The inquest of a teenager who died after he was electrocuted on a railway track will take place this week.
Sam Griffiths, 16, was killed when he fell on to the line at Burgess Hill railway station during the early hours of New Year's Day.
He had climbed onto the tracks as part of a prank or dare when he fell and police said his death could have been 'completely preventable'.
Sam was with a group of friends thought to be trying to catch a late train after celebrating New Year's Eve.
The teenager, whose parents live in London, had joined the sixth form at Hurstpierpoint College from Brighton College, in September last year.
He was said to be a keen sportsman and promising actor who quickly established himself at the heart of school life.
Sam's inquest will take place at Haywards Heath Magistrates' Court, Bolnore Road, at 10am on Wednesday.
