I am writing in reply to Mark Davey (Argus letters March 12).

The letter he is referring to Argus March 9 is only asking for fair play for all residents paying their council tax.

And I think he must be living in cuckoo land the way he writes about students living in poverty.

He wants to take a ride out to Moulsecoomb and Falmer in full term time and see the hundreds of cars filling up the car parks, side streets and open spaces most of them belonging to his hard up students.

Maybe he could advise them its much easier to make ends meet by selling the car and buying a bicycle and much better for the environment.
