WHAT a pompous letter from Howard Fellows (Argus letters, March 20) when he states that some of the other passengers on his Caribbean cruise were from the working classes and were enjoying their holiday courtesy of the Britain’s generous benefit system and none of them wore a dinner jacket.
Oh dear, oh dear, what’s the world coming to?
I expect after a few drinks they were just winding someone like you up. Otherwise they may have taken offence. If they had you may well have then found yourself swimming back home.
I wish I could afford a cruise out of my so-called generous allowance of £60 per week jobseekers allowance.
I suppose it didn’t cross Mr Fellows’ mind that in these economic times, these so called lower working classes were having their last holiday paid out of there redundancy pay?
