I WAS incensed to read on your letters page that a Ms Sharman of Reynolds Road feels that “vegan stuff” is unsuitable for families and young children and not varied.
I have been a vegan for many years now and find all my food needs and desires catered for by this healthy diet.
Children benefit from not being force-fed high fat, high sugar fast food rubbish and by suggesting that “vegan people” should be sent to special parts of town in which to eat, borders on discriminatory!
A lot of “vegan stuff” is food we can all enjoy and includes many foods that even carnivores will recognise and consume regularly.
Until people stop thinking of meat and dairy as the only foods humans can eat then I fear we will be subject to ignorant rants such as this on a regular basis.
