Firefighters are tackling a blaze covering 100 square metres of land at the edge of a forest.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service was called to the fire at 7.41pm today and is using four pumps, three Land Rovers and a water carrier from West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service to try to quell the flames in Misbourne Lane, Nutley, near Uckfield.
It is a largely rural area although there are farmhouses nearby. No one is believed to have been evacuated from their property yet.
