TWO entrepreneurs have joined forced to launch a website which aims to revolutionise the tourism industry in Brighton and Hove.

Up to 80 jobs will be created by the venture, BedsInBrighton.com, which has been set up by Terrance King and business partner James McPherson.

The idea is to help the 52% of Brighton visitors who arrive in the city without having booked a hotel, as well as to make it easier for people to book accommodation in advance.

The website contains a database of city hotels covering every budget, which can be booked instantly and often comes complete with discount offers for attractions such as the Palace Pier and Sealife Centre.

People leaving it to the last minute will be able to call up and speak to a operator based at BedsInBrighton’s offices in Queen’s Road, Brighton, who can talk them through hotel options and follow up with information on restaurants, bars, clubs and events.

Mr King said: “Brighton is always buzzing, happening, fun and full of great things to do so we want anyone who is considering going away for the weekend to think of Brighton before any other seaside resort.

“We then want them to know that booking is simple because BedsInBrighton will not only book rooms but can tap into the best entertainment that Brighton has to offer.”

Mr King said the site would cater for all kind of visitors, from individuals and couples to large stag and hen parties.

They are a brilliant team at the public’s disposal for whom nothing is too much trouble to arrange in order that you have a fantastic stay. So many of Brighton’s businesses have got behind this initiative that it really is the one-stop shop for people staying in Brighton.”
