Hello all, I hope you’re all well. It’s been another long week, full of surprises and interesting sights.

It’s amazing you don’t have to travel far too see some amazing sights, on horseback. I guess it brings it into context for me too realise how lucky I am to do such a great and exciting job, I am currently riding out at 6.45 every morning with my friend Sam who kindly rides out with me before she has too do a day job working in office. At 6.50am we are all tacked up and ready to go out on a hack all around the small village of West Chiltington, and surrounding areas, walking across the West Sussex Golf Course is amazing at that time seeing all the spiders webs that have been embroidered in the ferns and heathlands, and also seeing the small tracks that have been left by rabbits and other animals that obviously share the area.

For hunting, I’ve got my new project for the Newmarket Town Plate - a 3mile 7 furlong flat race in Newmarket in October to get fit and strengthend up for, so it’s a long slow process just walking, but lets hope this new adventure goes a bit better than Aintree did!

I’ve also had the lucky opportunity to ride in Parham Park this week, and all I can say is wow. It’s so peaceful in there, even if you take 20 minutes to walk on foot from one end of the park to Rackham. The journey is amazing, really peaceful, no traffic, a really calming atmosphere and also seeing the spring lams in the fields and the baby deer is a priceless sight.

I went to Newmarket on Bank Holiday Monday. It was a nice trip out, I enjoy going to Newmarket and seeing the sights and some familiar faces on Newmarket Heath. Sam was kind enough to drive to Newmarket so it gave me a chance to think what I was going to put into the blog!

Sam had never seen Newmarket before so it was greatly exciting for her, and we also got too see some horses working on the heath, so it was an exciting day. I hope to speak too you all again next week, take care till then.
