Councillor Ben Duncan’s letter (The Argus, May 5) about the opposition to Southern Water’s waste water treatment works at Peacehaven takes the biscuit.
Brighton and Hove Greens have been notable only by their absence in the brave fight mounted by residents. Where were you?
Liz Lee (The Argus, May 6) is correct in stating that the Liberal Democrats were the only party which consistently opposed and voted against the whole planning application when presented to East Sussex County Council.
In fact, the only concession won on the day from the planning committee was by a Liberal Democrat representing the views of a local environmental pressure group.
