More and more swine flu cases are now hitting Sussex. The Argus is now compiling a list of schools, companies and other organisations hit - and needs your help keeping it up to date.

Our list of places affected, along with the date the first suspected case was reported when known, will be kept updated here. If you know of any suspected cases, let us know in the comments section below. As soon as we have official confirmation, we will add it to our list.

Sussex swine flu cases to date

  • July 20 - Four drivers and an engineer from Brighton and Hove Bus and Coach Company are recovering at home after being given antiviral treatment.
  • July 20 - Elm Grove Primary School, Stanford Infant School and Queen’s Park Primary School in Brighton have all reported people off with symptoms.
  • July 17 - Two workers at Butlins in Bognor have fallen ill with suspected swine flu.
  • July 17 - A pupil at St John the Baptist School in Whitehawk, Brighton, and another two at the Priory School in Lewes are being treated at home. The Camelia Botnar Children’s Centre in Goring, Worthing, Buckingham Park Primary School in Shoreham, Durrington High School in Worthing and Thomas A Beckett schools in Worthing, Bognor Community College and Sidlesham Primary School near Chichester have reported cases.
  • July 17 - An inmate at Ford Open Prison put in quarantine and is recovering well.
  • July 17 - A mother and her seven-month-old daughter are treated with antivirals at home in Beaumont Park, Littlehampton.
  • July 15 - Latest schools affected include St Andrew's Primary School in Hove, West Park School in Worthing and Broadfield East School in Crawley.
  • July 15 - A toddler at Church Hill Playgroup in Patcham is treated for the disease. She is later said to be recovering well.
  • July 14, Seaford Head Community College - 15 students and four teachers are treated for swine flu
  • July 14 - The Argus learns of cases at Dorothy Stringer School in Brighton, Rustington Primary School, and Warden Park School in Cuckfield.
  • July 13 - Two teachers and 11 children off sick with suspected swine flu at Bishop Bell Church of England School. By the following day, the total number of cases has risen to 15.
  • July 13 - Outbreaks at Durrington High School in Worthing, St Paul's Catholic College in Burgess Hill, Falmer High in Brighton, Steyning Gramma, Hazelwick School in Crawley, Sackville School in East Grinstead and Imberhorne School in East Grinstead are confirmed to the Argus
  • July 13 - Suspected cases reported at Brighton College, Willingdon Community School in Eastbourne are confirmed to The Argus
  • July 9, Our Lady of Lourdes school, Rottingdean sends letter to parents after two Year 6 pupils return from Windmill Hill Activity Centre in Hailsham, where there was a swine flu outbreak the previous week
  • July 9, Oakmeeds Community College in Burgess - one pupil is recovering home after contracting swine flu, and another pupil is also off with a suspected case.
  • July 8, Heene First School in Worthing – schools sends letter
  • June 25, Brighton College – sixth-form pupil contracts the virus
  • June 18, Brighton and Hove – eighth confirmed Sussex case announced
  • June 15 , Cardinal Newman School – (girl didn’t go to school while ill, was never officially diagnosed, and has since recovered)
  • June 10, Peacehaven – seventh confirmed Sussex case announced
  • June 4, West Sussex – fifth confirmed Sussex case, a child, announced
  • June 3, Lewes and West Sussex – third and fourth confirmed Sussex cases, both Eton College schoolboys, announced
  • June 2, East Sussex – adult becomes the second Sussex person confirmed to have swine flu on
  • May 24, Brighton and Hove – first confirmed Sussex case of swine flu
  • April 29, University of Sussex – chef returning from Mexico quarantined over swine flu fears – he is later given the all-clear
