Street luge, skateboards and gravity bikes will be some of the forms of transport travelling at speeds of more than 60 mph on the coast road at Beachy Head.
The International Gravity Sports Association is holding a three-day world cup points competition over a 1.5km section of the road between the Beachy Head pub and Birling Gap.
Competitors in a wide range of gravity-propelled races, ranging from inline skaters to skateboarders, will be starting off from a 2m high ramp to get up speed on the twisty course.
And there is room for 20,000 spectators to watch the breathtaking action.
Non-racers can take part in freeride sessions on the track from 9am each day, which cost £35 per day, or £50 for the full three days.
* From 6pm today, 1pm tomorrow, 12.30pm Sunday, spectators free. Call 01323 415404.
