For years Komedia’s Born Bad has been the place for rockabilly and rock and roll in Brighton, albeit mixed with a dose of 1960s garage, surf and sleaze.
But now Latest is launching its own night with the 1950s firmly at the centre.
Promoter and DJ Lonesome M will be playing the best in 1950s sounds in a vintage atmosphere aimed at a gay and straight-friendly crowd.
“Rockabilly music has never lost its appeal,” says Lonesome. “Frockabilly hopes to reach out to a new audience by providing a stylish venue where hepcats and kittens, regardless of their gender or sexuality, can dress up and party like it’s 1959.”
