A community is in shock after a popular joiner was killed when he was hit by a falling branch in a freak accident.

Flowers and tributes have been left to Justin Price at the spot where he died, less than a mile from his house.

It is believed the 39-year-old was driving his VW Transporter home on Monday when the cab was struck in Bramlands Lane, Woodmancote, near Henfield, by a heavy branch in the 50mph gusts that hit the county.

Yesterday the nearby village of Blackstone, where Mr Price lived with his wife Liz and two children Tom, 13, and Emily, nine, paid tribute to him.
