A knife robber forced a staff member to hand over his shop’s takings.
The man took a large sum of cash after threatening a male worker with a blade in the Alldays Store in Goring Road, Worthing at 5.20pm yesterday.
The suspect was described as white and about 6ft 3in tall.
He was wearing a dark jacket, jeans and a blue woollen hat. He had a scarf wrapped around his face.
The incident is being linked to other robberies in the area including a similar one at the Co-op store in Rowlands Road, Worthing on November 10.
Detective Sergeant Chris Leech, from Worthing CID, said: “We are appealing for witnesses who saw anyone acting suspiciously near Alldays or any vehicles in the area at the time to contact us.
“There has been a couple of other incidents like this in the area and we are linking those at the moment.”
